2nd Graders at Ranger Elementary combined science and art to learn more about animals. Students researched an animal and then created a paper mache replica of the animal they studied. To finish up the project, students presented their animal research and paper mache animal to other classes. They also took questions from the audience and did a wonderful job answering each one. Great job, Rangers!

Read Across America Day takes place every year on March 2nd. The day helps promote the importance of literacy. This year, Read Across America Day took place on a Saturday, so LCHS Student Council Members stopped by Hamlin PK8 last Friday to celebrate the event with Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade students. LCHS students read books to students and encouraged them to keep working hard in school. Thank you, LCHS Student Council, for investing in our future Panthers!

Harts PK-8 students in Mrs. Brittney Smith’s class chose an influential African American to do further research about for Black History month. They focused on why they were considered a leader, their achievements, and any important life events that helped that leader become who they are. Students then made posters to showcase their research.
