Bus announcement for Duval PK-8 and LCHS Students.......Bus 2135 (Sheri Smith) will not be running tomorrow, Tuesday April 26, 2022 . Bus 220 (Jerry Roberts) will pick the students up that normally ride Bus 2135 after he drops off his students at Duval Primary and to the transfer buses. He will leave the Duval Primary building at approximately 7:40 AM. He will run Sugar Tree Road, Sycamore Road and then Merritts Creek. In the mornings Bus 154 will pick up his students on One Mile from Still Farm Road up at 7:00 and from Still Farm Road to Rt 3 at 8:00 AM. Bus 192 will pick up the students on Rt 3 from West Hamlin Hill to LCHS and Bus 215 will pick up the students on Morris Hollow. Bus 223 will pick up the students on Garretts Bend. In the afternoons, the Duval PK-2 students will be delivered home with the Duval 3 - 8 and LCHS students on Bus 2135. Bus announcement for West Hamlin Elementary, GVMS and LCHS students who rode Bus 2113 (Herbert Thacker). Bus 2113 will not be running in the mornings until further notice. Bus 2125 will leave GVMS at 7:20 to pick up the students on Six Mile Road, Blue Lick Road, and Hubball Road that normally ride Bus 2113. The students on Rt 10 that normally ride Bus 2113 will be picked up at normal time. We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause as we are trying our best to cover vacant bus runs.

Over the weekend, four of our bus drivers participated in the Logan County Schools Bus Safety Roadeo. This is the first time these drivers have participated in the roadeo. In total, there were 31 drivers in the competition from several different counties.
Lincoln County Schools Transportation Director, Peggy Stone said " I feel these ladies did an outstanding job considering none of them had ever driven in a roadeo course much less driven a Thomas bus."
Way to represent LCS well, we look forward to seeing you out on the course again!

LCS has received a $100,000 grant from the EPA to assist in the purchase of five new school buses. Lincoln County was one of three counties in West Virginia to be awarded this grant. Transportation Director Peggy Stone was able to secure this grant by selling back old diesel school buses. Thank you Mrs. Stone for leading the way on this!
