Bus announcement for Hamlin PK-8 and LCHS students who ride Bus 215. Bus 215 will not be running this morning. Bus 2143 will pick up the students on Trace Creek. Bus 220 will pick up the students on Camp Branch and Scary Creek. Bus 225 will pick up the students in town. In the mornings Bus 160 will pick up the students on Upper Mud River, Bulger Road, Dog Bone Road, and Bark Camp Road. Bus 2143 will pick up the students on Left Ford Road and Flat Creek Road. In the afternoons, Bus 212 will transport the students from Duval PK - 2, Bus 160 will transport the other students on Upper Mud River, Bulger Road, Dog Bone Road, and Bark Camp Road. Bus 2143 will transport the other students on Left Ford Road and Flat Creek Road. Please expect delays in the afternoons. The WVSSAC Board of Directors recently picked five students from across the state to win a $1,000 higher education scholarship. The students were judged on character, leadership, and several other qualifications. One of the winners was Lincoln County High School's Jackson Sanders. Jackson is not only a great athlete, he also excels in the classroom. Way to go Jackson!
Buses will resume running Whispering Pines Dr in Alum Creek. The DOH has repaired the roadway. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Bus announcements for Midway, Duval PK-8 and LCHS students. Bus 225 (Julia Smith) will not be running until further notice. Bus 1610 will pick up her students on Cobbs Creek. Bus 223 will pick up the students on Garretts Bend. Bus 223 will leave Midway Elementary at 7:30 and head towards Garretts Bend to start picking up students. Bus 212 will pick up the students on Rt. 214. Bus 214 will begin picking up at Keeling Road on Rt. 214 at 7:30. Bus 212 will pick up on Rt 214 in Sod beginning at 7:40. In the afternoons, the Duval PK-2 students will be delivered home with the Duval 3 - 8 and LCHS students on Bus 2135. We apologize for the inconvenience as we do our best to driver absences.
Bus announcement for students who live on Whispering Pines Drive in Alum Creek. Due to a section of the road washing out, the buses will not be able to run Whispering Pines Drive. The students will need to meet the bus at the intersection of Whispering Pines Dr and Childress Road or at the church. In the morning the pickup time will be and in the afternoon the drop off time for elementary students will be 2:50 and 3:40 for middle/high school students.
