
Bus Change for Midway Elementary, Duval PK-8 and LCHS Students
Bus 225 (Julia Smith) will not be running today. Bus 1610 will pick up the students on Cobbs Creek after he picks up his students on MacCorkle. Bus 223 will pick up the students on Garretts Bend after dropping off his students at Midway Elementary.

**Bus Change for January 5, 2022, for Hamlin PK-8 and LCHS Students**
Bus 2141 will not be running tomorrow. Bus 2113 will leave the turnaround on One Mile at 7:45 AM. He will pick to West Hamlin hill and then on to Save-A-Lot. Bus 215 will pick up the students on Morris Hollow and Belcher Ave. Bus 215 will be picking these students up approximately 25 minutes later than Bus 2141 normally does.
Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause as the transportation department is doing the best they can with the bus driver shortage situation that we are facing.

******Bus changes for Ranger Elementary, GVMS and LCHS until further notice - students on Rt 37 and Barberry that normally rode Bus 168 (Kenneth Clark's old run)*****
Bus 2140 (Freddie Adkins) will be picking up the students that normally rode Bus 168. Bus 2140 will be running a few minutes later than the normally scheduled time that Bus 168 ran.

Ranger Elementary School will resume in-person instruction on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.

Bus 153 will not be running on Tuesday, January 4th.
Bus 153 (Susan Collins) will not be running tomorrow for Hamlin PK-8 and LCHS. Bus 160, Bus 2131 and Bus 2143 will be picking up and dropping off the students.

Bus not running today, January 3, 2022
Bus 161 will not be running 10 Mile due to water in the road. This is for students that attend GVMS and LCHS.
Bus 2135 will not be running Sycamore, Sugar Tree or Merritts Creek. The students can meet Bus 155, Bus 2134 or Bus 192 at Duval PK -2. This is for students that attend Duval PK - 8 and LCHS.
Bus 154 will only be running Sheridan and then running Steele Farm Road backwards due to water blocking the road. Students can meet Bus 154 at the top of the hill on Steele Farm Road. He will be running 15 minutes later than usual for the Steele Farm Road stops. This is for students that attend West Hamlin Elementary, GVMS, and LCHS.
Bus 166 will not be running Broad Branch until the bridge can be inspected. This is for students that attend Harts PK - 8 and LCHS.

Lincoln County school officials, local & state law enforcement are aware of nationwide rumors being spread about the general threat to school systems across the country for December 17, 2021. At this time, there are no known threats regarding this event in the state of West Virginia or Lincoln County Schools. Our school system works closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement partners. If you encounter specific information regarding any threat, please contact law enforcement or local school officials. We take every threat seriously and will investigate and take proper precautions to keep our schools safe. We ask for your cooperation in not spreading unverified rumors on social media. Thank you for your assistance in ensuring the safety of our students and staff.

The Lincoln County Virtual School option for the 2021/2022 school year is open to students in Grades 6-12 who have sufficient internet access at home. There is a required parent and student meeting which will be held in January. The curriculum for virtual school is provided through West Virginia Virtual School. Facilitator teachers will oversee student progress and meet with parents on a recurring basis regarding student progress in courses.

Ranger Elementary will be in remote status starting Monday, November 15th. There are multiple positive students with widespread exposure. All students are considered possible first line exposures. We ask that you quarantine at home until Saturday, November 20th and return to in-person on Monday, November 29th, after Thanksgiving break. We encourage anyone having allergy or cold-like symptoms to test. If you have questions, if your student has more than one symptom and/or tests positive please call school health at 304-825-5238.

All students in Lincoln County Schools will be remote on Friday, November 12th. All employees are to report. School Health Services and the staff of the School Based Health Centers will be using this time to administer booster vaccines to our employees across the county. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make decisions to provide the safest environment possible for our students and staff.

Bus 160 will not be running this afternoon. Bus 2131, Bus 153 and Bus 163 will be bringing the students home this afternoon. The students will be 20 - 25 minutes later getting home this afternoon.

Duval Kindergarten and 1st grade students will be remote through Friday, November 12th. All K and 1st grade students are to be considered possible first line exposures. He/she must quarantine at home and return to school on Monday, November 15th. Packet pickup will be available at Duval PK-2 on Tuesday, November 9th from 5:30 - 7:00pm. Please contact the teacher to arrange for an earlier pickup time if needed. If your student has any allergy or cold like symptoms, please consider having them tested.
