Congratulations - Brittney Webb - Duval Pre K-8 Teacher of the Year

Brittney Webb is a passionate educator with a deep commitment to teaching 7th and 8th-grade special education English Language Arts (ELA) and providing intensive ELA intervention for special education students. In addition to her core teaching role, she also offers an engaging coding elective that introduces middle school students to the fundamentals of coding. Brittney currently teaches at Duval PK-8, a school originally from Griffithsville, WV, but temporarily relocated to Hamlin, WV due to unforeseen circumstances.

Brittney holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education (K-6) and is certified in multicategorical special education (ID, LD, BD, MM) (K-AD), as well as holding an Autism endorsement (K-AD). With two years of teaching experience, she brings both knowledge and a strong dedication to supporting the academic and personal growth of her students.

In her classroom, Brittney works hard to create an inclusive, dynamic environment where every student can succeed, no matter the challenges they face. She tailors her approach to provide the individualized support each student needs to thrive. Her dedication to creating a positive, adaptive learning atmosphere has made her an invaluable member of her school community.
