Lincoln County Schools Celebrates New Pickleball Court at Lions Field in Hamlin, WV

Lincoln County Schools is excited to announce the completion of a brand-new pickleball court. This project was made possible thanks to the generous support of local and regional partners. The Pickleball court will open on November 4, 2024, at Lions Field in Hamlin. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to the following individuals and organizations for their contributions:

1. Jamie Dolan - Exterior Services SWV, Inc., for providing essential services in the construction process.

2. Austin Lucas - Treasurer, Lincoln County Schools, for overseeing financial procedures.

3. Frank Barnett –Superintendent of Lincoln County Schools, for his leadership and support of this community initiative.

4. Lincoln County Commissioners - Kim Blair, Josh Stowers, and Phoebe Harless for their commitment to improving recreational opportunities in Lincoln County.

5. Dave Roberts - WVU Extension Agent, for his guidance and collaboration through the Be Healthy Project Grant.

6. The project was funded in part by the “beHealthy project grant - which aims to promote health and wellness in communities across West Virginia.

7. Lincoln County Board of Education – for their continued support of new recreational initiatives for Lincoln County residents.

“We are thrilled to offer this new recreational facility to all the residents of Lincoln County, said Frank Barnett (Superintendent). “Pickleball is a sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and skill levels, and this court is a wonderful addition to our town.”
