The SWVHS school-based health center at Hamlin (Bobcat Health Center) participates in the SKIP program. SKIP for PA is a research study in which LPCC Bobcat Center participates. The main goal of the study is to determine how the collaborative care model can improve healthcare outcomes in children with ADHD and ODD. The requirements for the study are children ages 5-12 who have or are suspected of having ADHD or ODD, the guardians have full parental rights, and they have no other members of the household currently enrolled in the study.

The collaborative care model uses a PCP (Renea Christian) and a care manager (Joan Gallion) working together to provide each patient with the highest quality of care. During the care management portion of the study, the care manager works in session with the child and their parent to help reduce negative behaviors, and the PCP works with the family and the care manager to manage medications needed.  The caregivers are asked to complete a questionnaire about their child's behaviors every 3-4 months and are paid $50 each time they complete this task.
