During the recent board meeting, Lincoln County Schools presented Education Service Awards to Dana Synder and Dr. Donna Martin for their outstanding careers serving Lincoln County students.

Dr. Donna Martin
34 years of service in Lincoln County Schools
Dr. Martin first started teaching at age 19 at Orchard Branch. She then taught grades 5-8 at Ranger for several years and served as Principal at Ranger K-8 for two more years. After that, she continued her career at the Central Office in various capacities: Reading Supervisor, Title I Reading, Federal Programs Director, Staff Development Director, Textbook Director, Curriculum Supervisor, Elementary Supervisor, Assistant Superintendent, and Interim Superintendent. Dr. Martin also taught several educational administration classes at the Master’s Degree level at Marshall University and spent four years as a Lincoln County Schools Board Member. Dr. Martin has her Doctor of Education – Education Administration, Reading, & Curriculum from Marshall University & West Virginia University.
